Description
My second Dota 2 based theme for Windows 7.
Windows 8 / 8.1 port:
Dota2 Theme Windows 8.1 by Cleodesktop
As a big fan of the game I had to make another Windows theme based on it, this time a more detail-heavy theme, that gives a Dota 2 feel without using any additional applications.
A huge thanks to everyone providing feedback / suggestions and ideas!

Hello I downloaded the theme and the UltraUXTheme Patcher and followed the read me. Changed the ownership and copied the files from the zip for timedate.cpl, explorerframe.dll, shell32.dll, and explorerframe.dll for the 64 bit and I put the explorerframe.dll in both folders just like the read said. I can see the theme and the cursor change but I don't know how to change the windows and Start bar. It would be awesome if you could give me a bit of help cause the theme looks amazing! Thanks!!!

I'm digging to get this theme but I just want to ask one question, do the icons also come within the .7z package?

I've included the icons in .ico and .png format; have made an iconpackager pack too iirc, but you can change the icons manually (or for the taskbar, with Taskbar Items Pinner) too.

Try using Start Orb Changer v5 (here's a mirror for it):
www.mediafire.com/download/71oi9dwrpu7d9b9/%21Windows+7+Start+Orb+Changer.exe
If it "restores" the original orb, open the advanced options, and check "Replace by editing resources" instead of "Replace by patching memory".

Sorry I'm not too good at making videos.
I used to know a guy who did some for me back in the day, but now I lost his contact too.

It's the timedate.cpl file (inside the system files folder).
You'll have to take ownership of your \Windows\system32\timedate.cpl (technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc753659.aspx), rename it, then copy mine over.
Afterwards you'll need to restart your explorer.exe or computer to see the results.

You use the bitmaps with Restorator 2009 (or other similar resource editors) to edit your own explorerframe.dll.
I need to know if you're using 32 or 64 bit system to give you my dll files.

how do install icon pack on windows 8 ?

yorgash In reply to MuhammadHilmy [2014-08-07 00:06:57 +0000 UTC]
Iirc you can use StarDock's Iconpackager on 8 too, though I'm not sure if it's free to use... the trial version has an expire period now I think.
Other than that, you can probably replace your system resources, but it's a tad too tedious, and I'm not really good at explaining how to do it.

You'll probably have to uncheck "use small icons" in taskbar properties.

For the icon pack (explorer windows) you'll need to open the IconPack folder's iconpack theme with Stardock's Iconpackager, if you want to avoid manual changing.
For the taskbar, you can either try Taskbar Items Pinner, or changing them manually, following this guide:

No, as stated, it's mostly an option to donate; the theme itself is available for download free of charge, the download button is just below the purchase.

I need help ASAP! I've made a huge mistake or something!
So I did everything i the README.txt, but when I re-named the shell32.dll to shell32_backup.dll after that I couldn't use any more admin rights, so when I tried to put in the other one it would work but it wouldn't appear. I thought it was just a bug so I re-started my PC and when I got to the desktop i got the "Explorer cannot start" problem, I tried to CTRL+ALT+DEL and I got to the taskmgr.exe I got the same error, I couldn't do anything. Even Safe mode wouldn't work it would stop at "Reading windows/sys/class.pnp and I think it's because shell32.dll comes after that and it doesn't exist. Is there any way to fix this?
Please help ASAP, I'm doing this from my phone :/
