Sooooo, I know that for her request, Ells asked if I would do something funny with my CopperSmith ship, and I AM working on something funny with them but I am not sure if I'm happy with the results at present. This I drew to make myself happy, primarily because my husband told me that Katy Perry's song "Unconditionally" reminds him strongly of this pairing every time he hears the song. And really I agree with him.

Leslie pretty much accepts everything about Luiz as it's thrown at her, and cares about him regardless. That love never wavers or dims, and just continues to grow stronger over time. (Hints at where "Courting Vipers" is going? Why yes, yes indeed.) It's not that she necessarily doesn't care, but considers a lot of what he does to be in his past, and accepts that he makes mistakes and is flawed. And she loves him anyway.

I imagine it takes Luiz a little more time to really come to love Leslie the same way, probably because he finds it hard to accept that she's just that genuine about how she feels for him. I mean, I can't see him really believing right away that anyone would legitimately love him like that. But that doesn't mean that he wouldn't reciprocate it given time.

I noticed also that I've drawn him blushing often. I really need to switch it up a bit. Not to mention his eyes scanned way too dark this time around. But hey, I like how Leslie's turned out here. Yes, she IS a bit older, in case you were wondering. She's not quite eighteen at the start of "Courting Vipers", and she's going to be around twenty-two or twenty-three by the end of the fic.
