Not to nitpick, but I think Rare actually owns the Kritter character and the Kremlings. When Donkey Kong Returns was released, Rare wasn't involved, and the Tiki enemies took the place of the Kremlings.
This is a nice melding of styles though. I'm definitely seeing the Paper influence in the outline and the colouring, whereas the eyes, snout, and clothing definitely do the Kritter half justice. Its less "cute" than the majority of the Paper Mario graphics, but its a Kremling, so it would be expected to be a bit menacing.

Well, if they still, then why does Nintendo still have them around? Like in Donkey Kong Barrel Blast, and in Mario Super Sluggers, and Mario Strikers Charged (not to sound rude, if it does)
Thanks about the art, it does need work, but like I said, this is the first time doing the style. I do have more that I drew up, but haven't taken the photo yet.

Most likely due to the time those games were released as opposed to Donkey Kong Country Returns, which was released in 2010 rather than 2007-2008. Rare was still developing some games for Nintendo at that time even after the Microsoft buyout, such as the Diddy Kong Racing port for the DS. No biggie though.
By all means though, this is an excellent attempt. Like I said, its very reminiscent of the Paper Mario style.
