Description Welp! I've tried drawing with my lines on the outside a few times, but no matter how I slice it, I seem to do better without them. I'll still draw with them on top here and there, but for now I think that this is my go-to style. It was an attempt to make a cartoon drawing with semi-hyper realistic details. Didn't exactly go as well as I wanted but I think I did a darn good job in the details. I've also incorporated multiple brushes to help make detail work MUCH easier.

Anyway, here's VHS again. I really enjoyed drawing them last time so I decided to give them another go. If this was an actual gig, this is what they would be like off the stage.

From left to right.

Bite - Smartass brat with street smarts and is surprisingly the youngest. She does have one to many every now and then, and often gets on her groups nerves, but whenever her common sense kicks in she always finds a way to get them to forgive her. Bass guitarist

Tsukiko - The oldest and shortest with book smarts. Loves to read before every performance and have some time to wind down with a cup of coffee whenever she gets the chance.Β  Drummer.

Abigail - Indifferent and business smarts. Off stage she express herself mostly through her loud sense of fashion. Otherwise she's kind of shy and manages the group's deals and fiances. A complete 180 from her stage persona. Vocal and lead guitarist.

Well, this was cool. I might draw them again somewhere down the road. It does feel good to make some original ideas.

Reworked the background. Hate it when I get better ideas late.

You achieved a really nice lighting effect. Β The character design and shading are very well done.

I don't think I've seen so much neon in your work before.

Or maybe I have...

You're a really creative outfit designer, I have to say.Β  And your work with lighting and combinations of expressive poses certainly gets better every time.

Nice work dude.

Thanks man. I'm glad you can see the improvements, since I've tried to implement a little more of what I've learned in this.Β  Also, I'm beginning to use references on a daily basis with my work, so that helps with the outfit designs. Plus using extra brushes really makes things much easier!

Glad you enjoy it!

References certainly help indeed, I can sure tell you that much.

The background looks even cooler and more psychedelic than before, which certainly gives it more flavor. These original characters of yours remind me a lot of a fusion between Who Framed Roger Rabbit? and Space Jam. Pretty interesting to me.

Any time dude!

I'm seeing improvement in your digital painting.
I especially like the color scheme for the one on the left!
