So just to give yall an idea on how I create poses/avatars for graphical chats such as www.wolfhome.com , it starts off like any other art piece. Draw it, color it. But there are a few differences between this as apposed to what I do with other pieces.

If you notice the detail is not as smooth and done to a larger less finer scale. The reason behind this is when I shrink it, I want to give the viewer the look of fur at such a small size. In order to do that, I basically do optical illusion, which works out well.

I outline the artwork in ink. This is so I can maintain a sharp border so when I go into Photoshop to edit it, I know where to follow along. It just helps with the sizing process.

After editing, the result is this:
