leaking in airplane seats

trying not to
startle strangers
I am

finding us in every page
of someone else's fiction

I am coming to you
unsleeved

heart adorning everything
I am

wanting the wings from your mouth
to rest on my brow

wanting the edges
of your hopelessness
dissolved
wanting
you

wanting you to want me
I am

sparks and flashes of blue
I am

something invented and
you are something new
I am

thinking of moths as butterflies

full of stars
and dreams
but still

devoid of expectations
