Those are exactly what I love about them, so I'm glad they seem to come across.
I think they are great characters that enrich the story as a whole.

I couldn't find a good reference photo of that little accessory on her skirt (I don't even know what it's called... ), so I went with what I thought would be most logical things to have handy, like keys.
I got to see the show pretty up close recently, and it looked like she has a small pen and a steno pad hanging there as well.
Of course, this was after I had finished coloring her, so I left it alone.

Nowadays, I doodle almost all digitally, using Photoshop Elements v5.0 and an old Wacom tablet.
Every once in a while I start with a pencil sketch, but the rest is all done on the computer.

Oh! My bad.
I use the line tool, usually set between 2px to 5px.
It can be tedious, and probably is not the most efficient way to do it.
Hazard of being self-taught, I guess.

Elements series doesn't have the pen tool, actually.
If you do have that, you can use the path palette to the same effect much easier.

Mme. Giry is another character of mystery - I oh so enjoy speculating about her past.
Especially how she's come to be the Phantom's accomplice...
I guess that's what makes her a great character to write about, hmm?
