Description "A flower's appeal is in its contradictions - so delicate in form yet strong in fragrance, so small in size yet big in beauty, so short in life yet long on effect."
-Adabella Radici

Every once in a while, I get this overwhelming urge to
doodle pretty girls and pretty dresses and pretty flowers.

This oddly seems to say "beauty and the beast" to me. Combines two great musicals, I like it. It is beautiful, and yet beastly good.

You know, now that you mention it, they do have similarities, don't they?
Though the deformity of the soul is not a spell that can be broken easily...

Thank you for your comment!
This was quite fun to do for me as well.
An homage, if you will, to the olden days.
Well, at least my idea of it anyway.

Art Nouveau style has a very distinct sensuality
that I am quite fond of.
A charm that is scarce in today's society, I think.
Whether the "olden days" existed as we imagine it to be
is up for a debate, of course.

Thanks for your comment.

Thank you!
Boys in tailcoats are wonderful, but sometimes I miss the girlie stuff.
I love the Victorian-era dresses, because you can do a lot with them with small details.

So, a little flower to quench the thirst, as it were.

Thank you!
Alfons Mucha is one of my favorite artists.
I love the intricacy of his design and the atmosphere.
So that was the inspiration for this pic.

I had a lot of fun designing the background for this one.
Needless to say, it took longer to finish than the figures.

And "m" combined with "e" stands for me, yours truly.
Didn't even occur to me that "e" also stands for Erik and thus may be confusing.

Thanks again

Honestly: IM CONFUSED. My first thought was: "Erik and Christine! YES!".... but: is that Christine xx? In the background is a "M", so the first woman I think on, was his mother, Madeleine - but im not sure xx° could you please help me?
Btw: the picture is great! I like the soft colors...~

I didn't even think about that!
I just tossed "m" and "e" in there as a form of a signature, "me".
(And yes, that's how I sign my text messages and email to friends & family.)

So, yes, it is Erik and Christine.

Maybe I should go back and fix that...

Oooh, I love the symmetry! It'd make a fantastic bookmark (don't ask, the shape makes the idea pop into my head...) Excellent job. Her expression says everything...

Ooh, a bookmark! That's a great idea.
I could certainly use one, 'cause I usually end up using old receipts or theatre tickets for that purpose.

"I gave my mind blindly," Christine sings in the ALW version, and I think it's true.
That is a form of devotion, a bond that a certain viscount could not completely sever...

Thanks as always
