Thought it would be a tutorial about the "from above" [link] pic ayy~?? Nope, sorry. 
I decided to finaly start coloring this [link] so I thought, let's just take screenshots of the process and share it with you guys. ^^ Unfortunatly I lost this PS-File, so I don't know if i'll finish this picture. I'll make tutorial of the way I color eyes and hair one day, but that i'll have to wait.About the tut, I ain't no professional, i'm just showing how I color, i'm not saying this is the right way. I hope this is helpfull to you guys. And i'm sorry for the faulty grammar. And if you have questions, just ask, kay~?? ^__^

hmmm....
i think it might help me more if i actually knew where to shade...
im really really bad with that...
i mean i decide where the light source is.....
then i go completely blank....
i go 'where do i shade??' 'where do i highlight??'
hmmm....
but ill try this anyway n wing it...

i loved this tut btw...
so much easier to understand than most i think....
but i will try to figure out how to place shadows n highlights....
im really bad with that...

How do you make the selection in the one place?

I'm not quite sure what you mean by a selection in one place. But in photoshop there's a tool called polygon tool/lasso tool. I always use the polygon tool.
Just click with the mouse to make a begin and keep on clicking around the area you want to select. Always end at the point you started.
After that, this area is selected and you able to color in it, without coloring stuff outside the selection.

Waaii~ Your coloring technique is almost as same as mine,but I never mask my lineart,hehe ^^" I dont understand the purpose of masking lineart anyway,I always work on it in multiply form. What amaze me everytime is the way you color eyes and hair *0* They always looks a bit cell shade and softy style! Gotta stalk for more Yui's tut *stalks*
The layout is great ^^ Great choices of soft colors. It didht hurt my eyes at all,well mostly I found other's tut are hurting my eyes because of the bg colors..but I like yours! ^^ *thumbsup*
