Well then a helpful tip: R's are always R's, but L's are often translated as R's. I prefer not to mix languages, but if you have to, mix your native language with English

DX You can if you want, it just kind of bugs me to see it misspelled. Japanese is by no means my native language, and I only know a little, but the little I know if focused on proper spelling in Romaji

Romaji is just Japanese written in Roman lettering. Roman lettering being what English is written in.
