I want to adopt shelter pets of my own when I'm older. I'm not a big fan of pet stores. I know that Nahum came from a pet store, and he was a great pet, but still, I'd rather adopt, because if I adopt from shelters than that saves an animal that may have would up being put down otherwise.

Nahum is my first ferret. It was the first time I saw a ferret so close and touched one. I had even no clue about ferrets rescues & shelters. Yes Nahum was coming from a pet store. I found Love in a pet store. But Anika, Apollo and Cody, my other beloved sweet little babies were adopted from the ferrets shelter in Ottawa. Lil Bear is coming from a pet store. But I didn't bought him. He was given to me. I believe that Lil Bear has suffer some trauma or abuse and didn't trust humans. He was pitched from a store to another one, to another one. At the last store, a friend of me took the little one and called me ... It took months for Lil Bear to trust me...
To open your heart and door to an abandoned one is wonderful. All ferrets deserve Love and Care and a beautiful family and home. But never I will regret the day when I pushed the door of the pet store, and took Nahum with me. It was the best door ever I have pushed in all my life

Question - how do you pronounce "Ours"? I'm interested in learning French next year - would the "ou" be pronounced the same way as in "vous"?

Not really the same ways as "vous" you need to add the sound "r" and "s"
