Haha, true! I've run a DA2 role-play for a few years and she just feels much more sympathetic as a girl. Β
As for Sebastian, I kinda forgot when you get him, seeing as I only ever use him for his own quest, when he's locked into the party. And never take him again, until it's time to laugh at the Chantry being blown up.
I sure how DA3 lets you go on a mass rampage against the Templars. Β

Ehehehe... no one else is porting DA2 models anymore. It's an old game by now and I think it's too "complicated" porting its models compared to other games, not to mention that a lot of characters are not readily extractable (took me ages to figure out one "hell-of-a-pain" way to do it... 
Sebastian will never become my fav party member, but I've become more tolerant of him over time. Except when it comes to his interest in Bethany: that's a no go as far as I'm concerned, Bethany is not for him. Anyway, I've just released Sebastian's new models, maybe you can take the chance to have him beaten up by Hawke for daring one glance too much to Beth!
As for Prosper: I've been looking at the files and think something could be done to have his model ported to XNALara/XPS!

Yesterday I looked up new DA:I screens... sure... they look more realistic... but... GOD ... such changes..... and not to the better....
what they did with Hawke, Cassandra and Varric..... I think it's horrible... XD I don't even want to see what they did to Beth...
Yeah well I'm not even tolerant to him... XD I only take him to his quests.....But aside from that hs ass stays put in the Chantry.... guess I keep hoping that one day the game will understand me... and when Anders goes Al-Qaeda on it, he stays inside....

Oh, you really read my mind on DA:I... I've been keeping away from most of the stuff released so far, but I've seen a couple of videos and some screenshots and my thought was exactly the same as yours: great visual quality, but what did they do to Varric? Cassandra is also certainly different, but she doesn't look too bad all in all, but Varric... Well, I got used to his DA2 looks! As for Hawke, I'll admit I didn't catch a glimpse of him/her so far. And I'm torn about seeing Bethany in Inquisition: on the one hand it would be good to have her back even if it was just a cameo appearance, but I too am scared to see Bethany's new look.
Re: Sebastian - Doesn't he blow up if you don't recruit him? Since he would be hanging around Elthina, I assume Sebastian would be in the chantry when Anders' fireworks blow up...

Well... Hawke's face doesn't look too different (well... ) but hair is completely fucked up...Β looks more like Cassandra's in DA2 ... 
About Cassandra... I don't know... she looks.... "meh"... at least I think so anyways... I liked her look in DA2 better
And whatever they do to her looks I just hope they don't put Beth in some relationship.... Unless it's with Hawke but.... I don't think so
Either way I'm not having any high hopes for it (For DA:I not the relationships
And.... well... I never tried not recruiting him.... Didn't think it was possible...

Well, I'm under the impression Beth will not have much more than a cameo appearance, so it sounds unlikely there's going to be room in that for showing her in some romance (which probably is not that bad at this point...). Overall, I see your point on Inquisition: if we keep our expectations in check, we will not be too seriously disappointed in case it's not too good and then we might even be happy if the game proves to be beyond our expectations!
