Description
(I didn't have any other ideas for the title, sorry)These days,we live in an "extroverts' world" (70 % of the population is extroverted) and extraversion is considered as a sign of intelligence in the western world.Introverts like me are often seen as strange, mean, shy or misanthropic. Also, many introverts feel superior and see extroverts as stupid and annoying.
That's just wrong.I undertand that some people feel that way,but really, both are equal.Introverts and extroverts need to understand each other instead of "fighting".

Actually most of the people are a mix of both. Only 16% are introverted, and 16% are extraverted. The rest of the population mixes both traits in a more or less equal way.
(I'm both, but I tend to be more introverted )

Extroverts should be respected for trying to help introverts to slowly move out of their shells.

The thing is some extroverts force introverts to "move out of their shells", sometimes harass them, so they think all extroverts want to force them to socialize. However, extroverts who try to explain introverts how to socialize, without forcing them, should be respected.

Yeah, it's trendy to be an introvert and hate extroverts on the Internet. Even if I'm an introvert, I think extrovert deserve more love and maybe I'll make a stamp for them

I agree with this stamp. However, we live in a world "built" for extroverts who are seen by society as a "perfect" ideal of how you must be.
Despite this, I'd like to quote two things from an article:
"4. It is incredibly patronizing that extroverts have been painted as overwhelming people who never know when to keep quiet and canβt be alone for five minutes. And it is incredibly patronizing to treat introverts as awkward humans who donβt know how to interact in social settings. Parenting, schooling, and life should have taught you when to shut up and went to smile, talk, and listen."
"9. The more influential cultures of the Western world favor extroversion over introversion. Which is why everyone from your teacher to your boss is likely to view extroverts as intelligent. However, Eastern and many other cultures including African, Middle Eastern, and South American cultures favor introversion and are likely to view introverts as intelligent."~ 17 Things Introverts and Extroverts Need To Understand About EachΒ Other
tl;dr about said article: No trait is better than the other and you won't be an extrovert or introvert "forever" until you live. Remember that nothing in this life stays forever unchanged.
And it's also completely fine to you to be kinda of a mix of both traits, like being an "outgoing introvert" or a "shy extrovert" for example. It depends on the situation and place, though.
Our world is already enough "polarized" in so many ways as it is and I think it's so much easier to we respect the differences between both traits than waste time, resources, stamina and energy on fighting against people who are different from you, force people to conform themselves to your preferences and/or perceived stereotypes or even get "triggered" or "envious" of their mere presence.

Yeah but the government only wants extroverts. Only people that can talk to people. It already starts at school. If you don't talk - bad mark. Maybe you just can't. Because introversion.

A lot of school force people to work in groups. My P.E. teacher likes to pick random group and wonder why I refuse to join in. To P.E. teachers everyone is an extravert.

Actually introverts are considered more intelligent (and on average, introverts have a higher IQ than extroverts). I find extraverts annoying, loud and often obnoxious. I'm neither fully introverted nor extraverted but I lean toward introversion. Introverts are far better conversationalists ... can chat to them on hours about the deep stuff.

completely agree I feel like people act like extroverts are way better with the whole "don't be afraid to stand out" well some people are shy and don't want to deal with it or that you're supposed to be super friendly and outgoing not everyone is! And people act like having a lot of friends means you're a good person, if you don't you're a "loner" or whatever and some people (like me) are more comfortable with just a few close friends
Being an introvert doesn't mean you're a hermit or whatever it means you like to have alone time and it's really stupid to hate people for that

Yes, I am introvert. I have family members which are both extroverts and ambiverts. Instead of observing negative points, we should realize both think and act differently. Having their own preferences.
I understand extroverts want socialization and excitement. Introverts prefer security. No one is 100% intro- or extrovert. We all have features from both traits.

I've always held that it is the mark of a just and moral society that they can leave hermits alone without feeling the need to infringe on their life or freedom.
When society finally accepts introverts as well as extroverts, it'd be a great step forward.

True!
Fortunately, there are foreign cultures that accept introverts, especially Eastern and Asian cultures. That's one of the main reasons why I would like to quit my country when I will be able to and go live in India or Japan.
