Description TERRIBLY bad picture but I'm lazy and I feel like shit so that's why it's in scraps.

A picture of our first-ever Christmas tree. I wanted to wait until December to put it up but ~ScarySeregwen pestered me until I relented to put it up today.

We named our tree Pazuzu. Because we're awesome like that. Pazuzu be nerdgasming all over the place here.

We don't really have ornaments so we just used keychains and cell phone charms and whatever we had lying around to decorate it. This is a sort of half-finished version.

There are quite a few items representing our favorite series in there. Some aren't visible but they are there! There are Sakura Taisen figures, Yu Yu Hakusho figures, Rei in tiger-form from Urusei Yatsura, 2 of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Irma from W.I.T.C.H., Him from Powerpuff Girls, 3 Face-huggers, a...random poof-ball thing, a few different Hello Kitties, a Cinamaroll, Boba Fett and Han Solo from Star Wars, Orochimaru from Naruto, and even the One Ring from LotR. And a cockroach!

My wife and I are awesome people and you should all be jealous.

I used to live on PPG. My wife just recently got the whole series on DVD and I can say that I don't think I'll ever get sick of it.

PPG was always a must watch when I was younger. It was like the best show ever until pokemon came along.

You do realize Pokemon came out a hell of a lot earlier than PPG, right? Pokemon was when I was a kid, PPG was when I was a teenager.

Yeah, but I saw PPG then Pokemon. Before I even knew a pokemon show existed I lived on Yu-Gi-Oh and looking back on it now, boy was it cheesy.

I started with Cardcaptor Sakura, actually, then went to Pokemon but they were both around the same time and Pokemon lasted a lot longer. Yu-Gi-Oh! got me into the actual Japanese anime. I branched off from YGO to Yu Yu Hakusho and the rest is history. Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon were the two shows I really wished were real though. I wanted (and still want) creatures like Pokemon so effing badly, lol. And I wish there was a card game like Duel Monsters and not the trading card version they made up.

That would be so awesome! It would definitely make things more interesting from day to day. Having magical pets to care for, but they make good protectors for said magical powers. Card monsters would be awesome too. You could settle arguments through dualing instead of violence. Ah how I wish I lived in a video game sometimes.

Lol, definitely. Video games and anime have much better worlds. And some better people, lol.

Well most of them do. It only get's bad when you start getting horror games into the mix. Then it's not a so nice world.

Aw, nah, I could live in a world from Fatal Frame. I'd die horribly within a few minutes but I'd love those few minutes.

Strangely, I could imagine living in the Resident Evil world. I'd probably die within a few seconds though because I couldn't find the other half of the lion crest to put into the door of destiny that opens into a house where the all might infinite RPG is to kill the first boss.

Heeeeeeeey. You suck. But none of the items you chose were ornaments. They were all items we just decided could go on our tree.

Close enough! We haven't even thought of getting a tree yet XD

I hate Christmas trees, at least putting them up, so I always kind of hesitated in buying one. But I knew my wife really wanted one so this year, we went out and bought a small pre-lit tree. And it is nice to have a tree. It's romantic.

I don't like them much, but the smell of a Christmas tree is so wonderful to me! We're in Georgia for Christmas this year, so I don't have to deal with going with my family to buy one. We always have legitimate ornaments on our tree, my favourites being the shrimpin' boat (I painted "Jenny" on the side in honour of Forrest Gump) and the little idols to protect our tree that we stick on all four sides (there's a fish, a goat, a dog, and something else that I can't recall). Oh, and the Nutcracker ornaments! Can't forget those!

Oh, I actually hate live trees. I spent too many years getting chapped hands with pine needles stabbing me and never getting all the sap off my hands. I hate having live trees. Maybe that's partly the hippie in me, lol. But I remember one year, my mom and I were setting up a tree. We were underneath it, adjusting the base and moving it a bit. When we finished, we crawled out and I noticed this trail of blood on the carpet. I looked and I wasn't cut at all. And then I saw all this blood trailing down my mom's arm. She'd gotten cut but hadn't even noticed it. It took forever to get the blood out of our carpets.

I have one ornament on the tree currently, our only ornament that was meant to be an ornament. It's a little figure of Rudolph from the old 1964 claymation movie with Burl Ives. My wife bought it for me during one of our first years together. But now she put her Snape ornament up and I have some at my parent's house that I need to get still.

In general live trees aren't my thing, but somehow the smell of pine needles soothes that. And that would definitely be a scarring experience as far as Christmas trees go XD I just remember having to sweep all of those terrible dead pine needles when we got rid of the tree XD

That's really cool! We're an ornament inclined family. Everywhere we go, we buy ornaments. We went to an awesome aquarium, and the only thing I remember about it was buying a sparkly purple octopus ornament In elementary school we gave ornaments to all of my teachers before the holidays. We're just ornament obsessed!

Ornaments are fun, a lot of the time. We just don't really have any. I don't really care for the plain painted balls because those are boring. But I love looking at ornaments. I just hate putting them up.

We like the snazzy ornaments, not just the little balls XD We have Harry Potter ones of all different varieties, we have various instruments, a grill ornament, snow shovels, and other weird stuff! And we make a huge family event out of putting ornaments up. When it's time for ornament hanging, you put away everything and join in for the whole few hours of painful Christmas music and ornament placement.

Lol, that's why I always hated putting up the tree. I hate forced family fun and that's all the ornament hanging was in my family. And most of the ornaments my parents have are from the 50s when they were kids so they're pretty gross by now. And I hate touching them.

My mom still has hers from when she was little, and whenever we're hanging ornaments she's like "ZOMG GUYZ LUK AT MY PURDY LITTLE ELF!!11!!!!ONEONE! SURE IT'S TOTALLY DIRTY AND OLD AND NASTY AND STUFF, BUT LUK! IT'S SO AMAZINGGG!!ONE!!11"

Not so fun to be around.

Yeah, I know that feeling. My grandma actually has a ball of popcorn. Well...I think it was popcorn. It was like made in the 30's by my great-aunt. It's so gross and disgusting.
