Description
I need to stop playing around with effects willy nilly and actually learn how to do stuff in photoshop hhhdon't mind the anatomy-- totally my bad... I drew her head and hands with no thought into how the body should look like so there's some...weird foreshortening attempt :'D
IN RESPONSE TO DAY 15'S EDEN, I DREW ETHNE ABOUT TO END HER LIFE //SHOT
I think Day 15's description already covers who Ethne is and how unstable and unpredictable she is as a person... although I'd like to add a few things here for y'all to know!
Ethne's twintails aren't actual hair...they're something like entwined wires and branches that grows longer and longer and even more out of control as her mental state deteriorates throughout the long journey. With her, the ship started growing all sorts of weird greens like moss, tiny plants, vines... and one weird stump appeared near the steering gear of the ship, and this stump had a soul in it, as it can speak and have a mind of its own. It warns the crew about their hijacker and how much power she possesses, and it's the only thing that's keeping Bima, the captain, in the same pace as her as he plans his attempt to take her down and neutralise her for good.
Her hair has this odd hue to it... it looks like hardened blood, and sometimes the colours float about like a lava lamp at some part
except idk how to colour to make it look that way so all you see for now is hues of vibrant red :'D

_Ayee great job once again~
You often see actiony drawings in manga with shapes instead of arms and stuff, so I think it looks great with the scribbly lines~~~~~
The blurry part is just so wow teach me XD

Kek... Also, question. Do you use a tablet? If so, what kind do you use? How much was it?
I'm going to be buying one for myself soon so, I'm trying to learn about them, and what a good cost for them is.

Ah about that...I dont have a tablet. I just use a mouse to sketch, draw and colour stuff
But Goretober in all it's entries are all traditional. Pens, poster colours, pencils... I just scan them and edit the colours a little in photoshop so it looks like how it is in my sketchbook (cuz honestly my scanner loves to kill certain colours like pink, yellow and red) This one tho-- Idk I just thought a little more hint of orange would make things look more dangerous lolol
Also I use the blur effects to add depths! But that's as far as I go for editting my traditional art xD
If you're thinking of tablets, the standard one everyone gets is the wacom brand. Idk how much it is in your currency though, but it's roughly rm400 average where I come from. It's an OK trusted brand, I had my go with it last year and it was smooth to use.
If you're looking for something that costs a little less, I was told of a brand called Huion, which is about half the price of Wacom tablets and it's quite ok to use too...although this is coming from a recommendation from a friend, I dont have any experience using one.
Sorry for the long reply lolol

Thanks for the info.
Also, about the scanner killing colors... Ouch... Also, I feel you. Whenever I use a scanner, everything comes out lighter. Like, "Oh, did you want thick black lines? Nah son, those are gray now."
And I'm like, "AGDSFGHSHS NOOOOOO!!!!" So, I just use my iPhone to take pics of all my work...
I feel you..
Again, thanks for the info about tablets. I'm probably gonna be shopping for one this weekend.
And don't worry about the long reply, it's kinda nice to read it.

Ooo I see! Good luck on your shopping then!
I probably wont get one yet seeing how my parents dont really see the importance xD
I know right? Scanners are evil tools... I have to edit it with my poor photoshop skills to get it black as it is xD
I feel like taking some classes on photoshop tho-- there's a lot of weirdo looking tools i'm curious about and the neato stuff i have no idea now to do xD

And yeah, you could always go on youtube and look up some tutorials~. Photoshop is a really fun program to use.
I was thinking I'd get some Adobe programs too but... 20 bucks a month... It's... I mean I probably could afford it but, GAAAH!!! Moneyyyyys...
