Had this idea in my head for a long time (like years...) but never got the chance to draw it
Hehe I love creepy stuff. Er, a few people said the title and image reminds them of something like "it takes the helping hands of friends to fly" but I was going for "it takes a lot of sacrifice to rise above others." But you can interpret it however way you want 
People have been saying this reminds them of Nico Robin from One Piece who also had wings of hands. I never watch that show so I had no idea.
If I know how to count, there should be a total of 21 hands in the drawing XD

i love this, i hate trying to come up with new ways to do things because alot of the time they dont work well, but the wings in this are amazing, it seems really dark just looking at it

In this picture i see... Despair...
The hands represents all the things you need and want to do.
The boy/girl in the corner represents fear. We humans are the most coward creatures, because we always feel insecure in everything we do.

First thing in mind when I saw this... "GREED" For someone who wants to aim higher, he/she won't budge to pull others down in order to put themselves atop. But then, later on it would only pull them back down by their conscience of how they have become for aiming that high.
"No one could fly freely without any trials and consequences in life... in order to be on the top, you must always consider to stay put on the ground. Yes, you can instantly be at the top if you fly, but you'll only find yourself alone after all. It will be a lot of work and time to be put on before you'll reach it if you want to stay grounded, but it'll be much rewarding when you look back at the path where you have built a stairway, wherein you're not alone reaching that goal. Rather, you're also leading others and helping them to be able to reach it too."

Oh that's cool! I wanted to draw something exactly like this, but then at that time I couldn't draw hands that well, but that was a long time ago. And I think I lost that motivation & inspiration for it.

what's funny is, most people avoid drawing hands because they're hard to draw but you draw them like it's a piece of cake lol maybe it is for you? you draw them beautifully anyway <3
