Had this idea in my head for a long time (like years...) but never got the chance to draw it
Hehe I love creepy stuff. Er, a few people said the title and image reminds them of something like "it takes the helping hands of friends to fly" but I was going for "it takes a lot of sacrifice to rise above others." But you can interpret it however way you want 
People have been saying this reminds them of Nico Robin from One Piece who also had wings of hands. I never watch that show so I had no idea.
If I know how to count, there should be a total of 21 hands in the drawing XD

This work also reminds me of the works by , whose artworks often featured themes of despair and wings. Excellent piece! I love creepy stuff as well. They are usually the ones with complexity and it's hard to get tired of it.

I just love this!it reminds me of so many things...is like a soul that needs salvation, but he can't find the way out from all that suffering because of many other things that keep him in the same place, without letting him to move... I have to say that this image has a lot to say about the suffering that exists in someone's mind...congratulation for so beautiful ideas

In some odd way.... beautiful. The hands are EXCELLENT! Nicely drawn, and the expressions and angles of the hands...... maybe you might consider wings that had fingers instead of feathers? I don't think that has been done before, and it look ever more creepier than this one! You can't stop staring at this one.... so cool. You made me start to like creepy stuff to! Are you going to start a creepy club? Out of curiosity. ;3

I love the entire concept of this picture. It's true in almost every part of the world. It takes sacrifice to elbow your way through the world, and I think the question this picture implies is, "is it worth it?" and it shows someone who looks like they're about to be crushed under the emotional weight of it all, and it's truely beautiful to contemplate.

I just wanted to say that one of my favorite things about this piece is the rib-cage. It looks as if there's yet another hand forming it waiting to claw it, and I can't help but stare at it despite all the other amazing things about this. Great work, I'm in awe.
