Had this idea in my head for a long time (like years...) but never got the chance to draw it
Hehe I love creepy stuff. Er, a few people said the title and image reminds them of something like "it takes the helping hands of friends to fly" but I was going for "it takes a lot of sacrifice to rise above others." But you can interpret it however way you want 
People have been saying this reminds them of Nico Robin from One Piece who also had wings of hands. I never watch that show so I had no idea.
If I know how to count, there should be a total of 21 hands in the drawing XD

Spooky, spooky. O.O I think I'm shivering. You remind me of that one type of artist. I forget what they are called, but they get a lot of ideas from dreams, and their art seems kind of realistic, yet very unrealistic. I seem to have a headache, maybe I'll remember later.... I must say "helping hands" was the very first thing that came to mind when I saw this (although it didn't match the girl wearing the wings). But I should have known better. It's yuumei, and she does creepy stuff. That I LOVE!
Honestly, all of your works are so well-drawn and inspiring. You've helped motivate me, because I love art, but am usually lazy or undedicated about it. That changed since I saw your work. Looking at your morbid/some feel good artwork has inspired me to work on my morbid/some feel good artwork.

This piece seems to me like one of desperation and fear. the person hides their vulnerable self away but really they want to reach out to the world. Haha tht may sound retarded but i like the ambiguity of this piece
