This image is a testament of my desperation for attention. I don't really draw fan art any more but i really should start again. I sometimes forget how fun it is to draw other people's characters. Anyway, this image was done on several layers with shit loads of effects that hide my inability to actually draw and choose colors. I'm still not really comfortable with that upper leg, either but this was on a first try so, fuck it. I learned alot from this drawing... I learned that I need to practice more, keep reading my "Bridgman's Complete Guide to Drawing from Life" and probably learn something about "balance" which; I think it's fair enough to say by the looks of this image, I really lack and need. Anyway, hope you all enjoy ripping this one apart, if it suits any! ^__^Tools: Photoshop CS2, Painter 9

its always better to be honest with your work like you are. Makes it allot easier to accept constructive crit and make use of it. but hahah, I love working digintaly, when we learn a few tricks to hide our inability to do allot of shit ! hahah, but hey, I see the approach you were going for here and its a really nice one! great expression, lovely depth and pose of the arms/hands. Back leg, all i can say is study them damn anatomy studies. perhaps something in the foreground to break things up and add to the spinning motion (as if a camera was locked on to her while she was moving causing her to be in focus and things outside of that segment to be blurred .)perhaps a baddie or trash can in the foreground that jus got whooped upone ? duno, thats my 2 cents !

You can experiment with this idea I have, but how about giving some motion blur to the legs to show more action? Just a thought, and it might not look good, but it's worth a shot

though the star bursts in the Background kinda looks like flashes from someone taking crotch pictures as she does the splits.
your colour choices are perfect i think and the overall feel of this shot is good. Makes me think of the Olympics a little, and the gymnasts.

yes, you are correct about the flashes in the background. they do look like someone's photographing her parts, but it's supposed to be a shot from the ground whilst she does her spin kick, and those lights are supposed to be like track lights or something...

oh... I was talking about the colors, actually.... This image just seems so... orange. I look around and I all of these other, much better (and younger) artist with images that have focus and some of the most amazing colors that for some reason, i feel i have trouble capturing. I just need more practice and color theory, I think. And practice.
