Description
I can't believe I finished this. yay. It's for my AP concentration, which is why it's so much more depressing than my normal stuff. My concentration is shades of gray: the moral and physical gray zones that exist between humans and nature. This painting is talking about the gray area of physical beauty. Many people find scaring and disfigurations ugly and off putting. People with damaged bodies are often the target of unnecessary and often cruel attention from society. Personally I find scars really fascinating and beautiful. I think that scars are proof that someone has lived and experienced how hard life can been, and that they made it out alive. This painting tries to approach these variations in opinion concerning perspectives on physical beauty.Related content

I agree with you that what society reguards as ugly and broken, is often the most beautiful because of what the disfiguration means

I really like you're perspective on gorgeous. It's like this work is telling a story. Something about this guy's pain is gorgeous. It's mysterious and dark, eluding to the wonder of what this person has been through. It's gorgeous that he's living? Life itself is gorgeous? I thought all this before I read your caption, so its meaning was well delivered

Yea sometimes it can be the hardest thing to express on paper exactly what ideas are going on inside the mind. It's like brain exercises isn't it? lol. 'Pump it up!'
