Description
This is a bit of fan-fiction-art based off the Dark Souls universe, specifically the knights of Thorolund. Beyond the armor though that connection is pretty loose. The story here is hopefully pretty clear, I imagined the knights of Thorolund on their crusade having just battled these demons and losing a knight. A priestess, not explicitly Reah, but her equivalent is praying over him as he looks up in pain and accepts his fate. Originally it was meant as a three stages of grief thing with three other knights outside against the wall each mourning differently for this knight who's been mortally wounded, but I cut the image down to something I could actually finish haha. I will most likely finish them in a future painting thought.

If you're in Denver you can go see a print in person at Helikon Gallery in the Rino district, this piece was made for their Pixel Palette exhibition that will be up for a few weeks.
