This is really beautiful! The atmospheric perspective gives it real depth and mood, and it's very green and overgrown without being too greenish, if that makes sense.

Hehe, yeah I wanted it to feel very overgrown and also muggy but still get just enough color variety in there. Thank you very much Helaine!

When I glances briefly at this, for some reason it reminded me of the jungle book.
Anyway, this is awesome. Love the details.

ThankS! Heheh, that's a reference I wasn't expecting. Yeah, the old ruins where King Louie and the apes lived have a similar look to them. Looking back at it now, seems like they too were based on Khmer ruins, which were probably my biggest architectural inspiration for this art.
The backgrounds for that are actually really cool! Thanks for mentioning that, I might use some of that art to get ideas for the 3D version I'm working on.

This has the feel of being in Mayan or Aztec ruins, which in person are fantastic and you have done a wonderful job portraying the mystery and beauty of these lost cities

My first impression was Temple of the Ancients (from FFVII), but I have to say, this is so much better than that dreary place. xD
