History:

Claymore is one of several destroyer designs currently in service with UEA fleet. Destroyer type is also one of most numerous types of warships in UEA with over two thousand serving the fleet.

Claymore was created to be fast, manuverable and well armed, its main duty is escorting larger ships and forming defensive wall between enemy and larger ships, it is also first destroyer to cross 1km in length, since most of its predcessors were between 600 to 800 meters long. Its first real combat Claymore sees in 2307 at the beginning of first Procyon war, two of them were attacked by "then" unknown enemy "Arkos", unforutnatley both of them and four frigates were lost taking only two of enemy ships. Small colony of Riyza is devastated and half of its populace (420) were killed, while rest survived). Claymores particiaptes in all three wars, with moderate sucess. Production stoped in 2280 when new class was introduced, class which fix many problems that Claymore has. Even now in 2325 Claymores were still heavily in use, but mostly on their original duties, escorting and scouting.
