I evolve in the creative emptiness of my surroundings. Inspiration gone, my mind finds reasons to create in the shelter of my autistic world. All nude in this weak oasis and my feelings as well, I'm trapped in the jail that I silently build.-----
This is oil on canvas. I used an airbrush fed with diltuted oil paint to paint the sky (there is nothing moe dirty than doing this). I made very few sketches before painting it. At the end I don't like it that much, it looks wonky to me, the hand and thigh on the right look ugly. But there is lot of meaning behind, i just hope you'll catch it.

It's easy to be a perfectionist, but sometimes the things we see as flaws, others see as character. I would say you did really well. This is a really exceptional piece. I especially love the overall color-scheme you used. It's easy to see that the piece meant a lot to you when you painted it. Impressive.

Well obviously there's plenty to say about this piece.
Even if your not happy with the way some of it turned out ,
I think the intense feeling you get when you look at it makes up for anything you may think it lacks.
But as any good artist knows,sometimes being hard on ourselves is ok . It paves the road to progress.
But what really struck me was how you make the beholder feel this man's despair by use of such soft colors

you have a distinctive style, with both colour and tone.
i like this more than some of your other work because it doesn't have any small mistakes or 'unagreeable' elements in it, eg the metal over the nipple in 'below the rust', which broke the otherwise smooth form of the body.
but anyhoo, this has fantastic perspective, especially on the body, and the positioning of the hands, it's been done fantastically. the shading is also great, you must be able to visualise and raytrace all this stuff in your head, very impressive. the reflections also... crikey
finally, i love the way the fingers look like they're being gentle rather than coarse or uncaring. maybe it's just me getting that...

Not sure why this has to be so depressing to people. I evolve in the creative emptiness of my surroundings. Indeed, the surroundings are empty, and you have found creativeness. Nature is building around you. You are causing the desolate landscape to grow, whether this landscape be earth or the sandy fields of your mind. Don't be trapped in your jail, nurture the evolution building around you.

incredibly beautiful work.
it has that same otherworldly feel as "below the rust" that makes your paintings stand out so much. the colors are beautiful. the concept is very strong and something that any artist can relate to personally.
i never had the patience for oils, so i find any oil work as controlled and detailed as this to be extremely impressive.
it's great to see such amazing new work from you ... well worth the wait!!

incredible job, smooth and surrealistic. i've done a few oil paintings myself and i can tell u that it is hard to get eveything that smooth while still keeping the darker and lighter values. that's the first time i've heard of someone airbrushing in oil, cool idea. beautiful painting
