Description
I evolve in the creative emptiness of my surroundings. Inspiration gone, my mind finds reasons to create in the shelter of my autistic world. All nude in this weak oasis and my feelings as well, I'm trapped in the jail that I silently build.-----
This is oil on canvas. I used an airbrush fed with diltuted oil paint to paint the sky (there is nothing moe dirty than doing this). I made very few sketches before painting it. At the end I don't like it that much, it looks wonky to me, the hand and thigh on the right look ugly. But there is lot of meaning behind, i just hope you'll catch it.

How is it possible to create something like this? Im stunned, especially when I consider my own lack of talent when it comes to painting. What I wouldnt give to be as talented as you.
Great work

I see what you mean there, and even the errors are right. You know why?. Because those are the ones that make you go on, and try harder and harder on your next works.
Amazing piece indeed. The viscosity of the fluid at the bottom is so well done, and the whole scene is so soft... it's hard to believe that you can achieve such softness using only traditional mediums (I guess this is a work you have to see in real life, not just a digital file, as they always degrade the original quality of a traditional painting).
Excellent job!

Beautiful picture but I agree with you when you say that the arms a little off. That doesn't matter though, the meaning of it shine through very clearly. Great work! I love it.

stop criticizing your artwork before people even get a chance to form their own thoughts. I know it's easy of a habit.

Beautiful work as usual, Zancan
I agree with *belle, for at first sight I had the feeling of a deserted, silented and immobile seabed... then, looking at the way branches ripped up the ground makes it impossible.
There is a under-atmospheric-pressure-like sense emanating from this autistic world which is so well describe in your lines.
Your painting are so moving
I'm looking forward to have them available in DA Prints.

I think I like the fact that this is actually a painting instead of filters and mouseclicks (nothing wrong with that mind you, but paintings always seem to impress me a bit more...). You are right the sky WOULD be a total pain in the rump to do (I dont have much airbrushing experience, but I know a job well done when I se it.)
I don't think the hip or hand look all that bad myself, they seem to fit the otherworldly groove you have with this piece. I also like the skintone you chose for this one, very nice. Actually remoinds me a lot of Gollum from Lord of The Rings. So intent on that one thing that he hasn't noticed the world changing around him, the vines growing up to choke the life from him....
Very deep and meaningful here, you can take it a number of ways. Excellent work man, I enjoy your work. Off to your gallery I go!

I should've read this one: "I evolve in the creative emptiness of my surroundings. Inspiration gone, my mind finds reasons to create in the shelter of my autistic world. All nude in this weak oasis and my feelings as well, I'm trapped in the jail that I silently build." Before I left the comment...

For some reason, the colours of this make me think of a seabed rather than a normal desert. Actually, it's not just the colours, it's the light as well...another layer of separation from things I suppose. I rather suspect that if the branches were torn away, the figure would simply let them regrow.
Oh, and the ridges on the horizon look like eyes to me, though that could be due to innsomnia. Not sure on that one. Very striking picture...such a sense of desolation...

Fantastic painting. It's got something that most of the works I see (and make, for that, to be honest) are pretty, or even beautiful and overwhelming to look at, but don't really invite you to look through and ponder on them. Thank you for reminding me that it's not all about depiction, it's also a matter of communication.
Wonderfully done, once more. And moving.
