Description
I've been working on this one little by little over the last month. I originally started this after thinking about how cool the hell hound turned out, [link] and deciding to do more along that vein. This is the most muscle detail I have done in any of my sculptures so far. I'm still deciding if I am happy with how it turned out. I do like how the feet turned out, though. He stands about 14.5 inches (37cm) tall. It was mostly made from 9-gauge aluminum wire with a little bit of 17-gauge aluminum to tie things together. I need to add a base to this one yet. He is pretty unstable standing on his own.
If you want to see some more details of this sculpture check this out: [link]
DAILY DEVIATION!!!!? I am so happy that this happened! Thanks, DA for smiling upon me today.

this is incredible ive done small sculptures with metal wire before, but nothing quite so methodical. it looks like an elaborate puzzle. I applaud you on your patience Β and attention to detail.

I don't know the exact time. I was working on it on and off for a while. My guess would be around 20 hours based on other stuff that I've made.

I find that werewolves ussually aren't scary at all but cool. But there's definately something more cryptic about this one.Using wires gives it a gaunt, starving, skeletal feel to it.

It's... beautiful.
Only, one question. Is it the way that it's posed, or is the left foot an exact copy of the right? Shouldn't the 'big toe' of the left foot be closer to the 'big toe' of the right?

Looking at it after reading your comment I can see what you are saying. The far left toe on the left foot looks like it's the longest on that foot. That must just be the way the photo was taken. The feet are actually a little more similar to wolf paws in that the middle two toes on each foot are the longest. The detail shot that I have linked in the artist's comments shows that a little better.
Thanks for the comment and the complement!
