Description ok ok, so im rocking the "untitled" title here. i promise this will be the only one.

please excuse the poor quality. it was cheap 400speed film and i had to push it pretty hard (like 1600 or so) to get that luminosity

wow, that's a pretty nice shot. the colors are really nice too. but i think what does it is just the subject interacting with the environment.

Wow. This makes me wanna be one of those people who carry around their camera 24/7, just so they can capture a shot that will never come around again. I love photos that seem spontaneous and really capture people in general. This is just great. And this shot is kinda funny at the same time too.

i love that green light. I am glad you pushed it!
it seems to be a conflict of generations... or looking back at a youth that has gone away....
or maybe she is thinking:
i looked much better when i was her age...if I had known, i would have been a model...too late for that though...oh well, one gets what one deserves...

and so on 'till 100...

Wow... this picture just screams out stories and emotions. Is she waiting for someone? Is she lost? Has she forgotten what she's supposed to do? This Picture is flooded with ambigiousity and the lighting is really effective; it fleshes out the scene and gives a mood to the overall image. The station itself is barren and empty; does this lend to the stature and the status of the old woman? Then there is the Jockey ad, and I think this adds a delicate touch as to incorporate an even deeper meaning into the picture; the old woman might very well be reflecting on her youth, perhaps this momentary lapse of memory triggered by this stimulating ad? Or is the picture itself telling us that youth, is indeed, wasted by the young? Here we can see more than one meaning through this picture; if I am correct to state about the "Youth" dilemma then the lighting source lends its nature and form to aid this purpose; the light signifying the peak of youth, and the darkness around this light, seeping in to gradually decompose of it.

Great Picture, I love the way your art captures so many views and emotiions in just one shot. You are one talented photographer, and I wouldn't be surprised if I saw you on TV one day

wow, i dont think ive ever received that level of compliment on DA... thanks!

and yes, youve definitely got this photo right. given that there were 10 million concepts/meanings/thoughts going through my head as i took it you've touched on most of them.

as for my photography displaying a complex depth of meaning and emotion... thats what i try to do. but most of the time i feel that im the only one who sees it indicating that the photograph is virtually ineffective and there for a failure. so thank you for also seeing what i try to infuse and capture, it really gives me encouragement.

as for being on tv though... hmm...

haha

No Problem at all... I think that the message can be clearly found when people take a deeper look, but sadly most people on DA are either not bothered or too superficial; but make no mistake, meanings whenever portrayed through a photograph are never lost for they cry out to all those who have understanding ears; and I am not the only one Don't worry about it too much, I'm sure one day more members from DA will awake from their lethargy of mind and come to visualise the deeper meanings you and I see through the conecption of art.

oh i dont worry about DA members not seeing/understanding , i could care less really. im just not always sure how well ive portrayed what im trying to show in general regardless of the audience.

but i guess i shouldnt worry about that too much either.

Hey, no one understood Van Gogh... which just goes to show however alien your art may seem to people, their meanings will eventually unfold in the progress of time.

Keep workin'!

This is, withoubt a doubt, my favorite photo of yours.

The ultra tight composition works scarily well with this shot, of which I'd like a panoramic print. The slight bias to the right of the frame gives the negative space the meaning it needs, causing you to wonder what the old woman could possibly be looking at if not the Jockey ad.

It's fantastic. Clone out the door frame on the right and it'll be perfect.

This is hot, so punk rock star meets some old lady lost looking at semi porn whilst forgetting what she is supposed to be doing.

ambient glow is feverishly sexy.
