Description
This is one of my more serious Slayers pictures. Though it was inspired by a fic I read where Amelia sacrifices herself to save Zelgadis, I decided that it could go either way; she could very well indeed be saved, if done in time. Call me a romantic; I prefer to give people hope than dispair. As cliched as that sounded, I find that to be true about my art. ^^Graphite on rag paper with Photoshop enhancement and coloring.

I want to see more images like this. Seriously.
Most people won't like the subject matter, but I do. I believe that death makes for excellent illustration, and I can see it being proven here.
Zanne, may I request that you take a look at the single deviation I've recently put up here on deviantart(not my work, by the way). It is quite similar to this one, except that it also includes another subject that also makes for awe-inspiring artwork: Revenge.

Thank you, very glad you like it! I've found some very good death scenes here on DA; it really gives the artist an opportunity to express their skills of emotion, and it's interesting to see the varying degrees of success.
I took a look at the picture you posted, and wow, it is quite poignant; the pools of blood in the foreground add a deeper, sharper air of violence to it.

Oh man....last time I saw the fic was about 5 or so years ago, and it was on a site called "Darkness Rising." Unfortunately...for the life of me, I can't remember the author or anything...I'm sorry! XP

tis fine I thought i found it once but when i finished i was pretty sure it wasn't what you best the drawing on just because of how it was written. I'm so odd...I Slayers, Slayers Next, and Slayers Try, I threaten/maim people if they say anything bad about Amelia and i've only put up one slayers pic...i gotta get stepping! >_< keep up the awsomeness!
