Description
The Kravinoffs were a famile of powerful Russian artistocrats before the Russian nobility was abolished during the revolutions. Kraven would grow to become an incredibly succesfull big game hunter, incredibly skilled at tracking and killing the most dangerous animals on Earth. The secret to Kraven's success however, was in a formula he had perfected that enhanced his physical abilities at the cost of slowly damaging his sanity. He soon decided that his greatest hunt would have to be against the greatest prey he had ever seen, Spider-Man. After a series of attacks against the wall-crawler met in failure, Kraven eventually succeeded in his task of killing Spider-Man. Kraven then buried the hero and took his costume to replace him. Spider-Man would return soon after, having survived Kraven's attack and only being unconscious when he was buried, and put an end to Kraven's brutal vigilantism against criminals. Kraven helped Spider-Man defeat the monster villain Vermin before committing suicide, satisfied that his victory over Spider-Man left him with no further goals in life. Years later, the rest of the Kravinoff family would unite in an attempt to ressurrect Sergei. Sacrificing Spider-Man, the Kravinoffs were succesful in bringing Kraven back to life. They were defeated once again by Spider-Man however, who had this time survived as his clone Kaine had switched places with him before the attack. The remaining Kravinoffs fled to the Savage Land, where Sergei killed his wife and one of his sons before deciding to settle in the Savage Land and hone his skills by hunting the dinosaurs there.
