Description
The Asgardian warrior Brunnhilde was hand-picked by Odin to serve as leader of the Valkyries, a band of warrior women who were responsible for guiding the souls of worthy dead warriors to Valhalla. Though her duties were confined to Asgard, Brunnhilde found herself drawn to the realm of Midgard and she began adventuring there. Using her powers to fight evil, Valkyrie served as a member of the Defenders and later the Avengers.
