Description
My Computer is a B I T C H that hates lightingThis is something I wanted to make for a while now though. Based a bit on 's works that have Tails and Cosmo traveling out in space, though with a bit of the sexiness toned down. I was initially planning on just having a few planets and focusing on Tails and Cosmo laying together adorably. But as I continued, I found the sun model, saw all kinda of cool stuff I could do with it, and well... here it is. I call it: The Avohkey System.
Anyone who's a Bionicle fan knows what the name derives from. But basically, this is a series of suns that all revolve around a super dense star that's collapsing into a black hole. There's a very large belt of asteroids that's essentially just planets that get caught up in the orbit of one star, and then rotate to the middle between two other stars and then gets pulled apart. Would this be a realistic thing to happen? Probably not. But that's why it's called Science fiction.
But I was going to have much better lighting, with one beam of light coming form the blue star and another one coming from the red one. But my computer can't handle that and craps itself each time I tried exporting the image sequence to get the bloom effect.

Isn't it supposed to be called the Solis Magna System? Also, Avohkii is Takanuva's Kanohi, or Mask.

Yes, it is, but this isn't a proper bionicle crossover. Just merely me taking some a̶d̶m̶i̶t̶t̶e̶d̶l̶y̶ ̶p̶r̶e̶t̶t̶y̶ ̶b̶l̶a̶t̶a̶n̶t̶ inspiration from Bionicle.

Makes sense.

Can't tell if that's a black hole or a ringed planet, but the whole thing just looks gorgeous nonetheless.

shouldn't everything be really really bright due to how close and bright the stars are?

Well, you do have to remember that these stars are massive, so they're not as close as you might think. A bunch of those asteroids are probably the size of several countries and they look incredibly tiny.
...But really, the answer is that my computer couldn't handle the extra lights I set up, so I had to get rid of them.

i guess they use a glass that blocks out 95% of the bright sunlight. so it's not literally a nuclear flash.

This... awhaw... too much. Absolutely beautiful. I especially appreciate the interpretation of them laying together. That is something I've always had in my head and hopefully soon bring to life.
Also, I know how you feel about the lighting issues with a crappy computer. It can be quite... irritating. That's why when it comes to beams and flares, I always do it post rendering. Great job nonetheless! The emotions came through regardless.

Aw, thank you.
Admittedly, I don't really know entirely what I'm doing as far as it goes with beams and flares in SFM. I can never get the effect I want. But I could also barely light up the sequence the way I wanted without it crashing on me, so even if I knew my stuff, I wouldn't be able to really do anything with it currently.

You do create some awesome TailsXCosmo pics with this programme.

Thank you! I do my best with it. I just use the models I have at hand and try to create.
