Hey folks! After not submitting anything in march, I glad to announce that I have three things that I'm uploading today, thanks to the Super Mario Bros. Monster Compendium. The first of which is Balloon Boo, from the not-even-a-year-old-yet New Super Mario Bros. !Balloon Boo, as you might imagine, make their homes in the many Ghost houses that have made a return from Super Mario World. Instead of just playing red light, green light witcha all day long like the other boos, they grow larger by gather air when you look at them, and let it all out while they follow you when you look away.

I think this monster in new SMB is hilarious.. and I mean, just their sound.. but this is a cool art.. and the only balloon boo art I've seen.

that guy sounds dangerous X.X
excellent clean lines and some effective shading really pulls this picture together, but I have to admit the hazy blowing in/sucking out effect could use a little re-touching so the action is a little more clear. Still, a strong piece naturally.

You're right about the sucking stuff... only problem is, i really couldn't find a better way to do it! Maybe if I added some woosh lines and a sound effect or something...

I'd have trouble figuring it out too... but you know what? woosh lines and a sound effect sound really awesome! It'd give it a nice, graphical comic book effect. well, if you did it like I imagine in my head ^^
