Description Hoo boy... this one is a doosey to pour out of my system.

First of all, this is the Dark Versions of Princess Peach and Princess Zelda when you fight them in the Subspace Emissary in Super Smash Brothers Brawl, and was drawn for Mario Monsters. At some point, they are both turned into trophies, and have dark clones made out of them with gobs of primid orbs. I tried to get both the dark flames that emanate from them as well as the primid orbs in the picture.

This picture is just one of those times where i take faaaar longer than i really should to finish something. I chock this one up to being picky about human anatomy, as all of my other more human looking submissions to the site have taken longer than others as well.

As if this weren't bad enough, my computer died, and while i was able to recover EVERYTHING ELSE, I wasn't able to get my documents back. Luckily, i had backed up most of my artwork..... excluding the finished version of this picture (only part of the line work was backed up), but seeing as how i had already submitted the finished version (as well as some variations) to Mario Monsters, I at least have the jpeg.

Normally, i might have just contented with that, but i had planned on doing some non-dark versions of each princess, and had even put each of them in their own picture, removed the purple overlay, and made their eyes look normal (as well as a few other tweaks here and there). Naturally, it's going to be difficult to do this anymore, but luckily not IMPOSSIBLE, considering i had submitted two separated versions of the Princesses to the site as well. The difficult part is that they still have the purple flames on them, which isn't such a big hassle since said flames don't really have much detail to speak of, but its still going to be hard to get them back to their original colors (but again, not impossible). I wager this is something I'll tackle after I get a new version of photoshop (and manga studio as well) onto my new computer, and finish the next submission for Mario Monsters. Gotta get back on the ball with that, but it should take nearly as long for me to complete it, seeing as how its a much less perfect image of a human that I have to work with. They will be submitted as normal deviations, should they come out well, and in the meantime I MAY submit the individual pictures of the princesses without the primid orbs.

In any case, I hope you all enjoy the finished product. For all the trouble it gave me, I still think it came out rather nice. Do note that this is an alternate version than the main one found on the site, with lighter colored primid orbs.

Hopefully I'll get back with my personal pictures, Mario Monsters, AND the art for an independent video game project I'm working on with a friend. This all depends on how quickly i get photoshop back

Also, good to hear from you!
