I had a particularly bad episode of sleep paralysis lately so why not turn it into something, haha. This would be set after the two of them escape. They don't remember anything about what happened to them, but they do have recurring nightmares about being menaced by an strange indistinct figure. But who doesn't right? Also nightmares where you can't move seemed sadly appropriate, considering.
Gaster previously mentioned souls glowing in unison , and handholding showed up a long time ago . When Sans offered to stay with him after the third nightmare, Papyrus said he could handle it by himself and he was fine, but later when Sans crept onto the couch with him while he was half asleep, he didn't shoo him away.
(This is entirely platonic by the way)
Sans is wearing a Duskull hoodie, haha. Papyrus drawn to dark sweaters, they make him feel grown-up for some reason (cough Gaster cough).

Man, sleep paralysis is the WOOOORST! You literally feel like you're unable to do anything, even breathing is hard! Of course, it's just a dream, but I always wake up to a cold sweat from those. Sleep paralysis sucks. >_>

Or when you can run, but you're not actually moving. I've had a dream where I was running away from creepy zombie like hands trying to grab me in a skinny hallway so I couldn't move any other direction but forward. I was running, no, SPRINTING, but I wasn't making any progress. Creeped me out. 😰😵

So what does purple mean for the eye glowing? I'm currently trying (despite being lazy and distracted by youtube stuff) to write a story involving Underswap Chara who in my AU is a human/monster hybrid and was wondering if you could give me tips about eye glowing.

In Zarla's AU, Papyrus can glow his eyes violet, while Sans glows his eye blue. That's simply just their colors. Eye-glowing is also their way for expressing emotion (like love, terror, etc.)

I don't have sleep paralysis, but I have this thing where.... I hear things that aren't there. Like something followed me out of my dream into the real world, but the scary thing is.... I /can/ move. And I can't see the enemy. And I'm too terrified to try to find them. This leads to me listening for them getting closer and staying up for hours, too scared to even let myself sleep..... And then I have nightmares where I'm running from some of my worst fears. Which would involve me being absolutely alone, a hoard of undead, maniquins, or shadows closing in..... I hate nightmares..... ;-;
