I had a particularly bad episode of sleep paralysis lately so why not turn it into something, haha. This would be set after the two of them escape. They don't remember anything about what happened to them, but they do have recurring nightmares about being menaced by an strange indistinct figure. But who doesn't right? Also nightmares where you can't move seemed sadly appropriate, considering.
Gaster previously mentioned souls glowing in unison , and handholding showed up a long time ago . When Sans offered to stay with him after the third nightmare, Papyrus said he could handle it by himself and he was fine, but later when Sans crept onto the couch with him while he was half asleep, he didn't shoo him away.
(This is entirely platonic by the way)
Sans is wearing a Duskull hoodie, haha. Papyrus drawn to dark sweaters, they make him feel grown-up for some reason (cough Gaster cough).

Dreams where you can't move? *Shivers* God I hate those. I don't know what's worse: Panicking in the dream where you see the thing trying to kill you, or panicking when you wake up cause you feel like something's trying to kill you?
Luckily I started having my dog sleep next to me on my bed. It feels like I have a little protector to bark away the demons. My cat does as well, so I imagine them ganging up on monsters to protect me.

Then again, I never sleep on my back. I always sleep on the side. I think it helps doing that.

I do turn on my back now and then while fox-sleeping(that's what we call it in Danish^^), but I usually fall into the deep sleep while lying on my side.
The deep sleep is the one that makes time go fast-forward, and then you end up in the Dream World.
I've heard that sleep consists of those three stages: Fox-Sleep, Deep Sleep and Dream Sleep.
During the Fox-Sleep Stage, you are aware and half awake, but you are in the beginning phase to sleep.
After some time, you go into the Deep Sleep Stage, where you're aware of nothing, you are completely unconcious, which makes time go faster, speeding up to a couple of hours later.
Then, you enter the Dream Stage. I've heard that you begin a dream about 15 minutes before you wake up. So when you're dreaming, you're actually about to wake up. But you won't know that, because in the dream, it'll seem like you aren't asleep, and might not even be of this world or dimension, or even time. That's the great thing about dreams
Once the dream is over, you return back to the Fox-Sleep Stage, and it starts over again from the beginning.
It does this a couple of times the same night, until eventually, it becomes morning and the Fox-Sleep lasts much longer than before, because it's just about time to wake up for real.
I wanna try and see what Sleep Paralysis is like.
Even though I know I'm gonna regret it later.

Be prepared to be extremely sore if it happens (or at least that's how I feel). I've had times where I'd wake up and I'd be really stiff.

i had sleep paralysis once...... i went to sleep, had a dream feel like it was 5 seconds, wake up, look around, and immediately fall back to sleep. have another dream, wake up in what felt like 5 seconds. i did that literally no less than 13 times, i was terrified. for some reason, none of the dreams were even slightly scary, but i woke up nearly screaming every time..........
i was nearly crying when i asked my dad about if something was wrong with me, he just replied saying it was just a bad night....... luckily i slept sound for the rest of the night ;-;

I know this is probably not the correct place to be asking this, but... Does Papyrus know that Sans is blind in one eye? If so, is he extra careful or tries to help him with stuff (I don't really know what activities or whatever you'd absolutely NEED full sight for), and if not is he suspicious of something? (Like Sans acting a little strange when trying to do certain things?)
