falling apart is usually a sign of contentment, since you feel you're pieces are in a safe location where nothing can get misplaced, moved off, or lost. And you have no pressing engagements to get to right off the following day. Lordy be, putting oneself back together can be an issue if you miss the alarm

he probably would never feel content like he could fall apart in handplates, because it was such a scary life for both of them. at least before gaster fell into the core is what i mean.
