Awwwwww, I just LOVE Papyrus and Undyne´s brother and sister relationship. At the very, very, very beggining, I used to ship them in a little way, but the moment I met Alphys an discovered her reciprocate feelings with Undyne, that small ship dissapeared, becoming this amazing love for this couple of weirdos.

well there is the idea that alphys is a lava drake, which is why she lives in hotland. drakes are coldblooded and since she's a lava drake they need really high temps in order to keep their own up, so this is actually rather accurate lol
