The difference between this and Petscop is that in this, Asgore the Seen is talking, whereas in Petscop, Anna's text is being seen but she has no form in the game.

i thienk its more like asgore was talking to gaster but gaster is erased from the universe so we don't see his form and i'd imagine on asgore's view gaster is there but he can't see him or can idk

Dream Rule Number One: Don't try to understand them from a logical point of view. They're either random electrical impulses in your brain, or your subconscious trying to tell you a hidden truth about yourself hidden deep with a series of abstract narratives and imagery.
Or you have PTSD, and relive the events that caused it on occasion. Sadly, that also happens when you're wide awake, and with little warning too other than seeing images that were related to the incident.
