He weighs around 30 pounds, so it's not hard to imagine she could lift him so easily. He's a skeleton with no muscle, so what's one to expect? Lifting Papyrus or Sans is nothing to him, but not much beyond that. He probably uses blue magic for a lot of things in life. It really would be cool to see him later on in his void state after being forgotten, still with the flame-like head and all. Gaster in black attire would be an interesting contrast to the white labcoat we always see him in. I hope Handplates continues that far!

Heh, I know what you mean about feeling frustrated with other girls being touchy about their size/weight.
I could be wrong, but I think it's just an American trope that girls in general are sensitive about their weight and get mad if someone suggests they're fat. I have no idea what the causes are for Alphys's size, but I think zarla is just poking fun at that female stereotype.
At any rate, I don't think this comic was meant to be taken too seriously--I think.
