Something's a little off here...
Gaster always dressed and undressed them so they're used to people taking their gowns on and off. Sans in particular since he spent a lot more time in and out of the tube than Papyrus did.
We've actually already seen the book. Or at least, one copy of it~

Gaster fell into the Core, which erased all memory of him from anyone he every conversed with, he disappeared from logs and photos; even the mention of him is forgotten. The only reason the mouse came up is because he felt it was unsafe, not because other monsters were falling off. (I think)

Didn't Gaster deserve a family? I mean, sure, after the whole 'torture' thing he deserves SOME punishment, but, uh, dying isn't really a punishment. Heart was in the right place, yadda yadda. Long story short, Gasters' entire family was killed and what he DESERVED was a family, if you exclude the torture thing.

so wait Asgore can't understand Sans and Paps because they speak in different fonts, which proves the "part of Gaster's soul" thing, because his name is made up of two fonts, and the two got a single font name, and its like speaking a different language to everybody else?

They're speaking Wingdings because they never learned anything else. The brothers can speak other fonts, like each others. Perhaps it's limited to their family, probably not. They're not part of Gasters' SOUL, Gaster was part of their SOULs. They each have a big chunk of Gaster in them.
Wingdings is more or less a really strong, unintelligible, garbled accent, while you can understand Sans and Papyrus because they RESEMBLE the words. Fonts = Accents to other monsters.

they're speaking in wingdings, but the brother themselves have their own fonts.
it's like they're speaking a different language, which is why gaster had to always translate.
