He then stomps his foot, his heels making a clack on the floor.
"Where were you for their lives? I'm sueing you for child support. It's been hard being a single mother!" Asgore nagged.
NAHHH NOT TODAY Gaster thought as he faded away into the void.
Typical, asgore thought as he adjusted his apron. He didn't know how to cook.
Look like woman=cook skills?
Gaster regretted seeing asgore in a dress, taking the role of the mother.

Is it strange that my heart gets all warm and fuzzy and full of bittersweet happiness whenever I see Asgore doing something like that? Like... just the simple little things he says or does which shows a genuine concern for their safety... things that MOST reasonable mature adults would do for the sake of a child... but Sans and Papyrus have NEVER experienced this level of genuine kindness before. Except from each other, but the unconditional love and care of a parent (who DOESN'T drill into their bones and fling them into walls on a daily basis) is a very new experience for them. If they still had their memories of Gaster, I can't imagine how much fear and mistrust and PTSD they would be going through right now.

Most monsters don't dodge, EVER, regardless of how much HP they and their friends stand to lose. So it totally threw me for a loop when Sans just nonchalantly shifted his sprite to the side of my brother's attack animation.
(Because I'm too chicken to do my own Genocide run.)

Very nice comic. The illustration is well written out and to make an entire flashback just to describe why pap isn't hitting him is well done. I especially liked how you made Gaster's speech bubbles. Not only is it creative, but it also separates who is talking, making it easier for readers to follow along and understand the conversation. I'd certainly love to learn how you made Gaster's speech bubbles though, it's unique and the process must be fascinating
I hope you'll show us one day. I can't be the only curious bout that lol.

I'm guessing that flashback was less coherent to Sans as he experienced it, lol. Just probably some snippets of words and images here and there and then the word "dodge." Well this didn't quite go where I thought it would! Though I guess there's still a chance it will happen. They (re)discover blue magic at some point, after all. Don't be hard on yourself Papyrus, Asgore has a lot of practice dodging the attacks of little'uns, lol. And I bet he just remembers how skeletons used to attack way back when, no important memories being jogged here, oh no. And the traffic cones around Sans are just hilarious to me. Keep your hands and feet inside the ride at all times!
More lab memories with Gaster! Y...yay? I love his hands in this one, they're really dynamic in the few frames they're in, and the talk of fighting and dying sort of play up how much power he has over Sans. Boy Gaster don't pull any punches when telling Sans exactly how weak and defenseless he is, sheesh. Yeah, fighting humans sure is like a game, heh...just a game...
Boy, knowing exactly how the war played out for Gaster really puts all of his statements about humans into a new (and darker) context. He knows about the turns because he saw it play out all around him, as his whole family died around him :< Though he isn't exactly wrong about the humans not hating them and just taking advantage of their power (just wrong in the assumption that ALL humans are like that, though that's pretty much the summary of his experience with them). And of course this is giving Sans snippets of information which may (or may not) become very useful in the future.
Now I really want to see Gaster tossing pencils at him, lol. He pulls up a chair and just lounges back while he throws random crap from his office. "If you can dodge a pencil, you can dodge a human!"

Gaster knows firsthand how humans work. IT'S NOT AS MUCH OF A MYSTERY AS IT WOULD HAVE BEEN IF THIS FLASHBACK HAD BEEN IN PLACE but even so it does give his words a different weight.
