i did the same exact thing.... it drove me crazy for about half an hour my older brother kept asking "Whats wrong with it??" im jsut going "ISNT IT OBVIOUS!!!" (I also have ocd about thing so meh XD)

What if Gaster continued to experiment on the children, and at some point, every human who is watching the events, gets filled with DETERMINATION and appear on the story as spirits or something and torment and trows this Gaster in the core, being able to serve fresh revenge on a silver plate for the skelebros, helping then to escape and trowing anybody who gets in our way in the core too!
Gáster wouldnt simply fall on his own creation with all those poeple by thenseves, they need a little push in my opinion.

I hate gaster. I know some time he's good, but... Why is he doing all this did he's not felling bad to do this, like i mean he's doing bad thing to sans and papyrus. I cound even do things like he do. He really is a monster sometime (well most of the time).... Really force a CHILD to KILL some one. He really must have no heard to do this. I still don't get wy gaster his doing.....Sigh, but still i im still think that gaster can change. Like papyrus say, even the worst person can change, if they just try.

I think Gaster does feel sort of bad, but he can't exactly be sympathetic in what he's doing since, well, that'd make his job a whole lot harder. And he tries to stay disconnected from Sans and Papyrus so he doesn't feel as much like a horrible person when he tortures them. And I think he's doing this because he had to for some sciencey thing evolving the barrier or something???

Oh dearie me. He is going to have a bad time, huh? Poor Papyrus. I don't want to think about what was in that cage.
In battle,s he can hit very hard. But he normally ceases all attacks once you get to one HP. Toriel can do that, too. What if he was physically unable to kill? Asgore had the ability to do so, but Toriel (Who was obviously just as strong) did not have the ability to kill. Even if you ran into one of her attacks at 2 HP (which normally hit for more than 2), she cannot kill you. Same with Sir Papyrus. Pap won't kill you, even if he hits you with an attack stronger/as strong as 2 HP when you are at 2 HP. Sans has the ability to kill you, though. So, is there a possibility that their good hearts prevent them from killing, even if they hit you? Or is it just them monitoring you and holding back? I like to think the prior, but the latter is more plausable.

You can be killed be Toriel actually. but she tries hard to miss with all her attacks. and they do less damage when you're lower on health I think. she makes a shocked face when she kills you, implying she did not mean to do so.

In older versions, yes. But the game was patched. Trust me. I haven't been able to be killed by her- even intentionally.
However, I think there are some incidents in the very beginning stages where you can? I'm pretty sure it's not intentional, though.

I have been killed. like very recently.
I play through this game on a regular basis.
I've played every conceivable at least once. I've basically Completionisted the crap out of the game.
the only thing I have yet to do is get the yellow ending. (and that's because the game glitched out on me twice now.)
she has an animation specifically for her accidentally killing you. so I'm very certain it's not unintentional.

She does; Toriel was allowed to kill you in the beginning. However, a patch had been made. It's so odd that I've never once died to Toriel no matter where in the fight I am. *shrugs* Oh well. This is quite odd.

When you try to get her to kill you did you by chance try to get her to attack with her hand?

Her attacks are completely random so not too often. I got those blasted DNA strands for the most part. But I chose to avoid the hands; they're an immediate stop to the attack no matter your HP.

In that one, Gaster vows that Asgore will never have to kill anyone again. And then, in this comic, he goes and tries to force a child - someone younger, more innocent, and even gentler than Asgore - to do something that he didn't want to allow an adult to do, even though the adult chose it voluntarily and the child tried to refuse.
Priorities, dude.
But I guess that's what happens when you see one party as your friend, and another as a thing.

Huh, Sans's fear here makes a lot more sense now, after that demotivational speach from Gaster a while back. It always felt like the stakes weren't that high since they should know he wouldn't actually kill them, but if he's truly convinced them otherwise...
