Hey, remember way back when when I said something was afoot in the Core ?
jazaaboo designed the monster that falls, it's called a Pterofractl! |D It loves math and "inventing" and "solving" math problems, but actually knows nothing about even basic math and generally has no idea what it's doing most of the time. It’s a poor flier because it always gets too caught up in 'calculating' flight vectors and angles and parabolas and such, thus why it didn’t fly itself to safety.
I was originally going to use the mole in the hardhat from the Mettaton Hotel, but when I went and checked it was completely wrong for what I had in mind, so instead I used a really obscure cameo from an old Sierra game I’m willing to bet nobody has played, haha. If any of you recognize him I'll be very surprised.

The reason it dissapeared is because when somebody falls into the core all memory is erased of them. That's why when Gaster falls in nobody remembers him.

Something else happens! I love this comic so much, but some stuff is still confusing to me.

So the core is basically a... time reactor? Hmm... wonder how that could work.
Well, time travel in the Undertale universe seems to work with single, rewritable timeline. So perhaps it could work by opening a wormhole and displacing one end of it slightly into the past, then running a current into the past, that would build power infinitely in a positive feedback loop! Literally infinite energy would definitely explain the power surges... though that'd be the least of the problems. It would be virtually impossible to contain all the energy, so it would inevitability lose stability and probably wipe out the entire solar system in a thermal nuclear explosion greater than the birth of the sun.
Still, doesn't explain why someone falling in would get completely erased from existence... with everyone else's lives being completely unaffected, despite the massive continuity change.
I'll see what else I can think of...

I like both monster cameos! The Pterofractl is clever and wacky, a perfect fit for Undertale (cheers jazaaboo!) and I love the lil' mouse guy standing on Asgore's palm.

Ooooh, that is right! Because of the erasing thing, nobody will ever be remembered. Nobody will ever have witness that somebody has fallen. The missing pairs are like the missing socks from the washing machine.
The monster design sounds like it would fit absolutely wonderful into Undertale!

I just realized that if that mouse fell into the core, no one would even remember the argument. I have no idea if I put that in the right words or not... but, jeeze. Just.... completely ERASED from existence, no one knowing you are gone or even of your existence, and with no way of coming back. (There was the Dr. Gaster appearing in the room that some people in-game experienced[myself included], but I don't know if other characters would even be able to find out how to do that/get there.) Aaaand I'm rambling. That's great.
