Look at the capital of Brazil I think it would still be the Federal District of Brasilia. This was a project idealized for a long time to settle the interior of the nation and not to have such a capital, would not make much sense, not to mention that Rio de Janeiro was the imperial capital of Brazil, for many it was more than necessary, symbolic change of capital.

About the proportion of whites and blacks, in Brazil different from the rest of the amenricas and europe, what determines are the traits, that is, the phenotype and not the genotype, your father or mother may be black or white, but your color skin ends up dictating his racial staus.

About browns is a term we give to Brazilians who are very mixed, strong indigenous features, but with white and black.
 Also, the fact that many people who are clearly black prefer to declare brown even though they are black has changed today. To have such a large number of whites either have much more racism than in the current timeline, or there is more European immigration to Brazil.

I kind of wonder if the Ottoman Empire would choose a different official name in order to appear more modern, but I'm not sure what exactly since I assume it's built a non-ethnic national identity (or at least tried to). Eurasia? Rûm, maybe? I don't know. Could also be that that national identity's just centered the Ottoman dynasty, so that could work.

Given that Bernie Sanders is the president and AOC is Speaker of the House, I'm guessing that the United States is rather leftier than OTL. Is the Socialist Party full-on socialist, or are they social democrats?
