This is a design study for the Frill. A sample representative of the design possibilities for this concept.

Quick Pitch: Anime Protagonist. Sonic the hedgehog, The Jetsons (Retro Scifi)

The Frill are the people created by Ice. They are not common to encounter, for they live in harsh lands.

The Frill have five digit hands and feet. They have a wide nose. Their skin hues in cyan. Their hair colors in blues, as do their eyes. They average between 5ft to 6ft tall. Aristocratic females and Militant males tend to be shorter.

Their hair clumps in a peculiar spike pattern. There are three spikes on top of their heads to the front. Two spikes, one on each side of their heads, covering their ears. Three to five behind and there can be one or two between the front and back spikes.

The Frill are a Matriarchal Aristocracy. There are three castes. The ruling Kin, which consist of the Matriarch and her family, dealing with Governance and administration. The Service class referred to as Wards, consisting of cooks, trader, guards, housekeepers, clerks among other jobs. The Labor class are the Drudge, taking care of farming, ranching, mining, construction, and other tasks.

Of peculiar note is on how they experience temperature. They feel comfortable in arid heat and frigid cold. As such, most of their population live on cold mountain peaks. Those areas are inaccessible except for intrepid explorers. There are few population centers in more accessible regions, arid deserts.
