Description There's a small road leading up a hill that gives a nice view of the Schwebebahn. However, as you get only a very small part of the line, you have to time your pictures exactly right to get one not obscured by either pillar 62 (here on the left) or 61 (right). I got lucky.

This part of Wuppertal looks rather nice, as the old buildings match the old structure of the suspended railway rather well. However, I doubt that many people actually want to live there. The Schwebebahn is very noisy, and it offers an excellent view into the windows of people living in the first (for americans second) level.

Just the timing should be enough for a fave, yet the superb timing IS what makes it such a nice picture. !

I see the blue building was built in 1906. The residents must have been upset 3 years later when the railway was built

No, actually the railway was earlier. This part of the line was opened in 1901, with the full line opened in 1903.

Thank you for the !

I don't know when I'm going to make it to Wuppertal to visit the Schwebebahn, but I'm already annoyed with the two of you for having taken all the best perspectives. You've left little for me to shoot in a unique manner! (^_^)

Ah, there are still a lot of places you can go to where we didn't shoot, I just can't name any of the top of my head...

Thank you for the !

Well timed indeed, half a second more in either direction and one of the car ends would've been lost behind an iron pillar.

As I said, I got lucky. That, and I took pictures in about half-second intervals here for that very reason.

Good use of judgement.
