Disney's new movie Zootopia is so inspiring and enjoyable! Mrs. Otterton image is copyright of Disney. Go watch it!

This is the first in a series I hope to create. I asked my sister what kind of animal she'd be if she was in Zootopia, and she said "probably an otter." So I decided to create her!

Step 1: Find otter-like pose of my subject
Step 2: Find scale-model image from movie of similar character
Step 3: Do comparison measurements (VERY IMPORTANT)

As you can see, Mrs. Otterton is 3 heads high. I had to make significant squash and stretch effects to transform a human into an otter. Sorry sis, your long legs have to go.

Step 4: Colour the drawing, incorporating as much of the original colour and lighting as I can. This otter has fur the same colour as my sister's hair, and her gorgeous blue eyes. The lighting was really fun to try to highlight!

Step 5: ... possibly in future I will try to edit this with my new Photoshop software instead of drawing on Microsoft Paint.
