“How about you, my furry fierceness?” In an instant, Pinstripe was pulling back on the rope, leaning as far away from her as he could, despite the reptile’s growl of protest as his arms were yanked again. The lady merely slithered up to him, pulling herself up to tower over him, leaning mere inches from his face. Her tongue tickled his nose, and Pinstripe had to resist the urge to sneeze. “It’s not often I take interessst in a rodent.”
The fear that had been present on Pinstripe’s face fell abruptly as a slap of water. “Hey! I ain’t no rodent, missy. I’m a Potoroo! He squared up, leaning into her, and to his surprise, she coiled back.
“My! But you are feisssty!” To his dismay, she threw two of her coils around him, pinning his legs. She leaned her head into his bare chest. “And ssso warm.”
Pinstripe felt his whole face flush red even as his fur stood on end. “H..hey, paws, er, scales off. I uh…” Pinstripe squirmed. Her scales were cool and ticklish. “I already have a girlfriend!” He blurted.
“Sssomehow I doubt that.” The reptile beside him snorted.
