I had tried this concept several times before, but I was never happy with it, but this one just came out so lovely, I think.

That is so true... I never really thought about it, but that is exactly why I'm as good as I am. I'm not really that talented. And I used to not be able to draw anything, at all. But I always wanted to so bad. Art has always been my passion, but I was no good at it. So I pushed myself, and pushed myself. I worked for hours on my art. Only to ball up and throw away half of them, each time improving a little. And I still am.

which proves even scrapping something has a vaue in what it has taught you. i totally empathise because i'm not what you'd call a natural artist either, hence why i can never do the realistic style. but i think by not being able to do that it lead me to my own 'style' i mean i take inspiration massively from Tim Burton who always says he can't draw in any realistic sense. but that he just does it because he enjoys it.

I do enjoy your unique style.
I never could do realism either, but everyone wanted me to do portraits, so I started, and found out I could that pretty well, and when they are in pencile, they turn out pretty realistic, but whenever I use color, they become a little more cartoony, but it is okay, it is my own personal style, and I am proud of it.

i totally get that. but i think mine are so far from realistic that it took me quite awhile to accept my style, i just used to get fustrated that i couldn't get anything like a photo. but now i see that what i do is more unique than that, which makes it more special.

That is why I like the rough look to mine, and the bright, edgey colors that give ir an unrealistic feel.

haha yeah, he hates me for breaking up with him. He deleted and blocked me from everything and he's trying to make it seem like he's happy that we're not together. Even though he was begging me to stay.
