Description Whee! So I went with my daughter's request first. As always all of these are from screencaps (all from Negaverse.net), but I think they came out the best of any I've done, to be honest. Much better than the ones I did of Gosalyn a couple months back. I should go back and try her again.

Excuse the half-assed colouring job on the one of Morg and Darkwing. I wanted to add a little bit of colour in there and not have it take too long, and it was done with a mouse, so it's just messy. But not unattractive!

I LOVE it! Well, I love Morgana, and I love your drawings of her.
Especially the one in the left lower corner, so serene. I can actually recognize most of these stills, and you just caught her perfectly.
And I like the colouring - I LOVE Darkwing in that one... The attitude.

Aww, thanks! I definitely went for what I thought were the sexiest poses. We'll see if I can actually keep her looking right without references, though... Eventually I want to try her with her hair down (fan-favourite!) and I have no idea how that'll turn out. I actually suck at drawing hair. XD

Lol, well, you could have fooled me. I like how you draw hair and it certainly came out very well in these sketches. Though, I seriously don't like drawing her canon 'do just because it always turns out so weird for me XD

Agh, I *hate* hair - I hate drawing it... well that's not really true, I love drawing it but I hate how it usually looks with me. See I have trouble drawing curved lines. I have NO IDEA WHY but my hand always wants to make stiff lines even though *I* want to draw flowy hair and dresses and... poses. So hair is really hard for me to get it looking the way I like. I just haven't put up most of my total fails here.

I don't believe i've ever seen it on the show, nope. That's part of why I'm not sure how to do it - I have no idea how it'd look. I'm sorta not wanting to go with the "wasted zombie" look from the BOOM line.

Yeah, at least half of these are from "Fungus Amongus" which is definitely the best animated of Morgana's appearances, and probably the best plot too... too bad it's not on any of the DVDs yet. >

Shorter DW, I KNOW! I *had* to make use of a reference where he's next to another character so I could try to get the stinking proportions right. Here's hoping this is the start of a trend.

I like it because her personality was SO much more interesting and bearable. It made more sense why DW would like her. In later eps, she just got plain WHINY and girly. Ugh.

DW's height IS hard, even with a ref. I ALWAYS end up making his legs too long.

Thank you! I went for the prettiest ones. For some reason apparently I associate that with her having her eyes closed, from the look of how many of these do. I'm really starting to enjoy the sketchdumps and they are getting useful; it feels like I'm actually kind of learning to draw the character now, lol.

Thank you! Parts of her are definitely hard (at least I found) but her face isn't all that hard. I just have to remember she has cheeks. She's very round though. More than any of the other characters she's made of a LOT of circles, including her hair.

Yeah, I can see that making her somewhat difficult if you're used to drawing the guys.

What's weird to me is that Silvani's sketches of Binky looked really good to me, so I can't imagine how Binky's easier for him.

Seriously? I don't think I've tried to draw her, yet, but a lot of other fan-artists who draw her seem to have only minor problems. But, that's an interesting tidbit. I guess that's why she looks slightly 'off' in the comics (can't put my finger on what it is... something about her face).

Yeah, actually I wouldn't have thought that but it makes some sense, too... I think perhaps that Morgana just isn't easy for the way that Silvani draws. That's the only thing I can think... also she doesn't "mug" the way a lot of the other characters do, so when he draws her doing that, it seems a little off. Doesn't bother me, but I guess I can see that he's having trouble compared to some of the other charas.

In general with Silvani I love his art style but I think he definitely "gets" some characters more than others. I love his Quackerjack, and as I said elsewhere, I could look at his pictures of DW all freaking day. He could screw up every single other character and still his Darkwing is, to me, sublime. As a result he gets Negaduck perfectly too. Gos seems a little big shaky and LP, to me, is way way too big, but meh. I love his cartoony style in general and I have never seen a better Darkwing on a consistent basis.

Meanwhile we'll see how I do on Morgana when I try to draw her on my own instead of copying a screencap... if I can keep her looking right or not. That's the true test, I guess. *G*

Oh yes, Elmo. AWESOME Elmo. XD I like his Liquidator too. I've heard from a number of folks who don't like his Bushroot; I don't hate it and it's not a deal-breaker, but I agree that he's not quite right.

Also I'll take this moment to confess that I secretly scour every issue looking for a nondescript brunette duck I could draw glasses on and pretend that Silvani drew Beth.

Yeah Licky wasn't too bad, especially when they started doing his feet, LOL!

I'm one of the people who aren't particularly fond of his Bushroot.. I think FlyTrapDog demonstraighted it perfectly... he's just not as cute 'n' cuddly. Still, it doesn't put me off the comics nor tone down my enthusiasm. Most of them look so completely awesome, that these little 'mistakes' or whatever, don't incriminate.
Besides, I have to admire his tenacity for drawing all those Darkwings!
